Jon Sauer turns exotic woods on an antique ornamental lathe made in 1868 by the Holtzapffel family. This one-of-a-kind piece uses African blackwood, tagua nut, and acetate, with intricate patterns on the blackwood stand and an acetate top body with tagua nut at the tip of the top. The stand measures 2.5 inches high by 1.5 inches diameter. The spinning top is approximately 3 inches high by 1.75 inches diameter. The top sitting on the stand measures 5 inches high.
